Conservatory Theatre Ensemble (CTE), an award-winning student theatre company at Tamalpais High School, will present "Sense And Sensibility" as the first show of the 2016-17 season. The play is adapted from Jane Austen by Kate Hamill and it is directed by Bay Area veteran theatre artist, Carla Spindt, a guest artist at CTE. CTE advanced students will be acting in the show as well as providing all aspects of design and production. All performances are in the beautiful Caldwell Theatre located at the back of TAM High's campus where plenty of parking is available. Suitable for all ages!! Shows begin at 7:00 PM. Tickets can be purchased in person at the box office before the performances. Tamalpais High School’s Conservatory Theatre Ensemble opens its 40th anniversary season with a new adaptation of Beowulf. This version features a cast of twenty, live percussion, songs, stage combat, and dynamic physicality.  The cast includes tenth through twelfth graders enrolled in CTE Tam’s advanced drama classes.  The production is fully student designed and produced. Percussionist and guest artist Jason Lynn has created an original drum score for the cast to play as they accompany the action of the play.   dsc07987 dsc06107
prince-and-the-pauper Click here to buy tickets online Jemma Kennedy's adaption from Mark Twain Directed by Molly Noble November 29-Dec 3 Just in time for the holidays, Conservatory Theatre Ensemble* @ Tamalpais High School will present a classic tale from the beloved canon of Mark Twain. The story is about a poor boy and a lonely young prince who exchange identities that produce entertaining situations as they gain new perspectives on their lives in Merry Old Tudor England. CTE's production is directed by Bay Area Theatre Artist, Molly Noble, and will feature advanced acting students playing multiple roles. Advanced students will also design all aspects of production to create the world of the play and others will stage manage and provide the production work needed for the performances. All performances will be at the Caldwell Theatre located at the back of Tamalpais High School's campus in Mill Valley, California. Curtain time is at 7:00 PM. Doors open at 6:30 for open seating. Tickets are $5 for Students and Senior Citizens and $12 for Adults. "Prince And The Pauper" is suitable for all age groups.
