The One Act Festival is a first-of-its-kind, non-profit, student- run theatre podcast festival. Out of the 29 performances, you will hear, there were 132 student actors and 39 student directors behind them. Each either written or adapted by student writers. This is all possible because of Tamalpais High Schools Conservatory Theatre Ensemble. This festival has been fueled by the passion of the student and teacher ensemble, responding to the fluid circumstance of our changing world. But our festival and program itself could not exist without the dedicated support of our donors. Now more than ever please consider making a tax-deductible donation today as we strive and fight to keep our program in existence.
Since 1975, thousands of students have acted, written, and directed in the one acts. Notable alumni include Berkeley Repertory Theatre co-founder Michael Leibert; Berkeley Shakespeare Festival co-founder Mikel Clifford; radio and TV actress Eve Arden; performer Tupac Shakur; Melrose Place star Courtney Thorne-Smith; performer Bridgit Mendler; filmmaker Miles Feldsott; Academy Award-nominee Kathleen Quinlan; Broadway performer Pomme Koche; actor-singer Dylan Saunders; The Spanish Princess actor Jordan Renzo; and Beth Behrs, star of The Neighborhood, are just a few of the diverse artists who began their careers in Tam Drama. Equally important are the thousands of students who leave with a powerful ability to communicate, and a deep and profound love for the theatre arts.
